It's out of the ballpark!

Happy spring break everyone! The book I am reviewing today is Mascot, and I adored Mascot! It was a great book that I highly recommend. This book was written by Antony John. He did a phenomenal job. He originally lived in England but moved to St. Louis, Missouri so he could write and wear sweatpants all day long. This is where Mascot takes place. I would recommend this book to kids at the age of 10 and up. This book was a great story to read and actually made me feel very thankful (you’ll see why). This book gets a 5 star rating from me and just has a really captivating story-line. Mascot was definitely a highlight of my year so far!

Mascot is about a boy named Noah Savino who is a humorous teenager that is paralyzed from the waist down due to a car accident. This is what made me feel very thankful, the ability to walk and actually have working legs, unlike Noah. With his dad no longer with him, his mom starts dating the neighbor across the street, Mr. Dillon, which is confusing for Noah. Noah and his new friend, Dee-Dub, plot out revenge on Mr. Dillon, hoping to get rid of him for good. At school, Noah makes new friends despite his challenges. In this hilarious and nail-biting story, Noah and his friends bring family together, grow stronger as a team, and make Fredbird legendary.

Happy Saturday!
