Keep an Eye on the Time

This week I will be posting one of my favorite series of all times. It is the Half Upon A Time series!!!!!!! It had been a while since reading the first two books, so I decided to read the whole series again!!! I’m not sure why I love these books so much, but they are truly amazing. This series is written by James Riley who has also written the Story Thieves, another popular read. Forget the 5-star scale, I am giving this series 10 stars. I can’t say enough good things about it. The stories are so fun and intriguing. However, like most series tend to do, the second and third books do drag on a bit. Kids 10 and up could easily read these despite their thickness and a few challenging words here and there. Nothing crazy. If you are a fan of Keeper of the Lost Cities, The Story Thieves, or The “Rump” Series be sure to grab this quick! The entire series has been out for a while, so you shouldn’t have any issues finding them at your local library or bookstore.

This series is about a boy named Jack who lives in a world full of magic, princesses, and Sea Kings. One day, a “princess” named May falls out of the sky and nearly lands on Jack. May tells Jack about her missing grandmother and how she ended up falling into this wacky world. Soon, as in any good fairy tale, they go on a quest to find her grandmother and, of course, run into a bit of trouble. With the help of Prince Phillip and the Wolf King, they realize that May’s grandmother might not be on the same side as them. Will they solve this fairy tale mystery? Will Jack discover his true destiny? Read Half Upon a Time and all the answers will be revealed!
