About
Welcome to the blog! A Sensible Hound reviews books, the occasional film, and a possible oddball topic from a variety of genres, niches, and styles. From the perspective of a young individual, I'll provide readers with honest, wholesome commentary while maintaining a generally unbiased tone.
This platform is named after my beloved beagle, Henry. Most of the cover photos on this website feature him. I started this blog when blogs were definitely still cool alongside the loving support of my family and diligent editing from my brilliant mother. At this moment, I am pleased to share that I no longer need assistance editing and all work is my own.

Sometimes, I feel ashamed to enjoy reading as much as I do. As most young adults and teenagers can probably relate, reading is insignificant compared to our online world. Yet, literature is beautiful and heartbreaking and funny and ultimatley seperates the digital and the physical. Firsthand, my guilty pleasures are mermaid books and corny 2000s beach reads. However, I feel the classics are as enthralling as the concepts of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Reading good literature and poor literature can only benefit the human mind, expanding it much farther than that of a cyber screen.
As the author of this miniscule online institution, I partake in a variety of literature and film genres. In my time off, I enjoy cycling, cooking, jazz, painting, and any outdoor activity. If I fail to photosynthesize enough in one day I am cranky. I believe Mr. Fred Rogers and Robin Williams are the best two people to walk this Earth. I love anything pickled and feel humans were meant for the heat: not the cold. My favorite book is Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak; my favorite film is October Sky; and Johnny Depp is far superior to Leonardo Dicarprio.
