Into the Woods we go!

As promised, I will be reviewing the 2014 Into the Woods movie directed by Bob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the 1999 version of Annie). If you are not familiar with this movie, then you have to watch it! Into the Woods is a fantasy, adventure, and fairy tale movie. If you are a fantasy and fairy tale lover like me, then you will love this movie. I have seen this movie so many times, it just never gets old! 5 star movie for sure and I would say if you are at the age of 9 and up you would be cool to watch this movie. The cast of this movie is... drumroll please…. Emily Blunt, James Cordon, Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, Anna Kendrics, Johnny Depp, and many more! I really suggest watching this movie. There are great songs and the acting is incredible. Everything about the movie is so enchanting and magical. Originally Into the Woods was a Broadway musical, which opened on November 5, 1987 and ran until September 3, 1989. The original broadway musical had 765 showings! So if Into the Woods (the musical) ever comes in town I suggest to go see it!

If you are a fan of the Sisters Grimm or the movie Enchanted then you will love this movie. Into the Woods a mash-up of a bunch of different fairy-tales. The Baker and his wife, Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Witch, Rapunzel and her prince, and Jack are all featured in this story. The movie focuses on the Baker and his wife, who discover the Baker’s father (and the baker himself) have been cursed by the witch next door. In order to break the spell, they have two days to find a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold. I love how the characters and their stories interact together. Enjoy this wonderful movie full of enchantments and wonders!

Enjoy the show!
